The ECHO project aims to develop and demonstrate novel modular, compact, high-performance and Plug&Play thermal energy storage (TES) solutions for heating, cooling, and hot tap water production, able to provide electricity load shifting with meaningful peak shaving of the thermal and electric load demands. It will provide a key tool for thermal energy storage in the context of sector coupling and the provision of flexibility of demand. The developed systems will be adaptable to different energy sources and user demands. They will be feasible to be charged directly by means of an internal heat pump, exploiting the electricity overproduction from the grid, or directly connecting to renewable energy sources installed in the building. 

The CELINE project aims to create a cross-sectoral digital energy ecosystem by developing secure and efficient digital tools for data management across the energy sector. It supports local energy exchange and peer-to-peer trading through innovative business models and encourages citizen participation through co-design methods, participatory governance, and training. By defining standardiased policies tailored to energy communities, the project ensures regulatory alignment. Demonstrations across various European regions will validate the scalability and adaptability of its solutions.
