About BRIDGE

Find more information about BRIDGE, its activities and its impact

Launched by the European Commission (CINEA and DG ENER) in 2016, BRIDGE is a collaborative initiative involving various stakeholders dedicated to addressing four key areas: Smart Grid, Energy Storage, Islands, and Digitalisation Projects.

BRIDGE’s efforts are directed to make Europe ready for a more efficient energy future. In order to do that, BRIDGE works on eliminating potential obstacles to innovation. Engaging with BRIDGE entails fostering continuous knowledge-sharing among projects, enabling them to collectively draw conclusions and make recommendations about the future exploitation of project results. The collaboration is facilitated through four distinct Working Groups, each representing a significant area of interest.

By participating in BRIDGE, projects gain the opportunity to share best-practices and lesson learned, collaborate in overcoming challenges, and enhance the adoption of results. Additionally, projects can contribute to the generation of new ideas for future calls and establish valuable connections with key players in the energy sector.
