Interoperability of home appliances - Data Management
Updated report - (October 2025) This third BRIDGE Report on interoperability of home appliances provides an incremental update on the current state of affairs and activities related to this area within the BRIDGE projects. It also further elaborates on the common view on the issue and presents related external activities.
Standards User Group (BSUG) - Data Management
Updated report (October 2025) After analysing standard development organisations, standardisation topics, this report proposes a list of topics, findings, and recommendations associated with the BRIDGE Standards User Group. This report has identified the following four main topics, along with findings and associated recommendations. This report analyses standard development organisations and then proposes a list of associated topics, findings, and recommendations from the BRIDGE Standards User Group. Artificial intelligence - Data Management Working Group
Updated report -  (October 2025) This report consolidates the key insights from the survey, offers a set of practical recommendations for BRIDGE, project consortia, and the European Commission, and proposes a roadmap for future activities. These include establishing a dedicated AI subgroup, deepening the mapping of AI applications, aligning with European data spaces and standardisation efforts, and developing common methodologies for documenting and evaluating AI in energy contexts.
New use case repository - Data Management
Updated report - (October 2025) A new use case repository has been developed to enhance data exchange, interoperability, and collaboration across BRIDGE projects. Aligned with the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Energy objectives, this initiative promotes the standardisation and integration of energy data management practices. Based on the IEC 62559-2:2015 standard, the repository serves as a central knowledge hub, making best practices and technical solutions widely accessible through a user-friendly interface compatible with diverse energy systems.
Data Exchange Reference Architecture (DERA) - Data Management
Updated report - (October 2025) Action 2 of the BRIDGE Data Working Group focused on deploying the BRIDGE DERA 3.1 reference architecture. Building on last year’s Smart Grid Architecture Model–based report, a new implementation methodology was developed, aligned with ETSI–CEN–CENELEC practices. This step-by-step approach supports defining use cases, identifying key interfaces, mapping data exchange standards, and validating interoperability through tests such as Intnet.
Updated report 2025 (Reference Framework) - Data Management Working Group (November 2025)
This report addresses the area, “Data Handling”, identified by the Working Group. It specifically covers the framework for data exchange and the associated roles and responsibilities, along with the technical aspects that enable secure and interoperable data exchange. In addition, it explores data analytics techniques for data processing and discusses the development of a “Reference Framework” for interoperability.
Set up a use case repository 2.0 - Data Management
(May 2022) This report describes the continuation of activities aimed at developing a use case repository. In particular, this document addresses the validation process of the repository, for which all projects were invited to test the tool and provide feedback to improve it in future versions. Moreover, it describes the status of the repository, next steps, and conclusions, including information about the potential integration of the repository with other platforms.
