Bridge
REACT
REACT will deliver a scalable and adaptable cloud-based ICT platform for planning and management of RES and storage enabled infrastructures supporting a holistic cooperative energy management strategy at the community level in geographical islands. Its objective is to achieve island energy independence through renewable energy generation and storage, a demand response platform, and promoting user engagement in a local energy community.
READY4DC
READY4DCaims to create the right conditions to establish a community of experts that will discuss all the implications of the process both from a technical and a legal perspective. Will be produced position papers to create the proper conditions for consensus paving the way towards changes in the regulation and in the legal framework.
RealValue
RealValue project commenced in June 2015 and is a €15.5m European energy storage project funded by Horizon 2020, the largest Research and Innovation Programme in Europe (€12M funding from the EC). The duration of the Project is 36 months. RealValue aims to demonstrate how local small-scale energy storage, optimised with advanced ICT, could bring benefits to market participants throughout EU. Smart Electric Thermal Storage (SETS) will be deployed in physical demonstration trials in 1250 homes in Germany, Latvia and Ireland but the analysis will also consider other storage technologies and energy vectors, including integration with district heating and micro-generation.
ReDREAM
The energy market is rapidly transforming and so is the role of the consumer. Yesterday’s passive consumers are central actors in today’s energy markets. As new prosumers, energy markets can benefit from their generation, consumption, and storage capabilities. The EU-funded ReDREAM project will enable the effective participation of consumers and prosumers in the energy market.
RENAISSANCE
RENAISSANCE aims at demonstrating highly replicable design and management approaches for integrated local energy systems, that achieve high participation of local consumers (15-20%), exceed at local level EU targets for renewable energy sources (37-80%) while decreasing the energy price for community members (10-15% below current market prices). The methodology and each pilot will cover key energy vectors (electricity, heat, transport), involve different actors (households, SMEs, institutions), and valorise flexibility services within and between communities, and with DSOs.
SCALE
SCALE aims to advance smart charging infrastructure and facilitate the mass deployment of electric vehicles. The project will reduce uncertainties around the roll-out of smart charging, interoperable and V2X (Vehicle-to-Everything) solutions, whether these are technical, organizational, economic, social or policy-related, and help shape a new energy eco-system wherein the flexibility of EV batteries’ is harnessed.
