The project developed a modular energy management system capable of monitoring and controlling local devices according to the preferences of end-users. It will allow end-users to manage their energy expenditure and become more efficient. Users will be able to take part in new energy services and take advantage of dynamic price tariffs to minimise their energy costs.

The main aim of COMPILE is to show the opportunities of energy islands for decarbonisation of energy supply, community building and creating environmental and socioeconomic benefits. To prove the capacity of the project to replicate its results, we will include this process inside the project already. The project has 3 main demonstration pilot sites and will also include 2 replication pilot sites that will allow us to develop and improve our deployment and replication methodology.

The project aims is to establish different collaboration schemes between transmission system operators (TSOs), distribution system operators (DSOs) and consumers to contribute to the development of a smart, secure and more resilient energy system. CoordiNet is intended to define and test a suite of standardised products and associated important parameters for grid services.
