The edition of the BRIDGE charter has just been published. The document aims to define the initiative’s vision, mission, objectives. Additionally, it outlines the internal organization and governance structure of the initiative, defining the scope of the Working Groups, including key milestones, roles and responsibilities of the involved stakeholders and projects.

Participating in BRIDGE offers numerous of advantages, such as fostering an active collaboration and propelling the joint progress of involved projects. Involvement in BRIDGE initiatives extends beyond individual project scopes, providing a comprehensive and interlinked strategy to tackle challenges, spur innovation, and foster sustainable advancements across the energy sector.

The Governance structure has been outlined to guarantee and sustain engagement among the stakeholders and to achieve the initiative’s goals. Thus, BRIDGE is organised into 4 specialised Working Groups, each of them lead by a Chair, a representative from one of the projects involved. The role of the WGs is to promote exchange of knowledge and experience, as well as develop deliverables common among projects.

The four Working Groups are:

  • Data Management
  • Regulation
  • Consumer and citizen engagement
  • Business model

By encouraging collaboration and interdisciplinary discussions, the Working Groups play a pivotal role in promoting innovation, guiding policy decisions, and ultimately advancing sustainable solutions and societal impact, not only within the BRIDGE community but beyond.
