The BRIDGE General Assembly 2025 gathered the community to showcased progress, policy insights, and collaborative strategies driving Europe’s clean energy transition.

The event brought together nearly 300 participants in a dynamic hybrid format that spanned across 80 projects and more than 100 organisations, showcasing the continued vibrancy and engagement of the BRIDGE initiative. Held in March in Brussels, the General Assembly – BRIDGE’s largest annual gathering –  with its mission to create a collaborative platform for sharing project results, discussing policy developments, and aligning future activities that shape the future of the European energy innovation.

The BRIDGE initiative brings together more than 200 Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe projects, involving over 1.400 stakeholders from 27+ countries.

The 2025 edition of the Assembly provided a high-level overview of the achievements of the past year, a look into the policy landscape, and a collaborative roadmap for 2025–2026 activities. It featured both plenary and breakout sessions on the four Working Groups, with deep dives into key challenges and opportunities at the intersection of digitalisation, energy systems, market integration, and citizen engagement. Moreover, the General Assembly highlighted the strategic role of the initiative in connecting technical innovation with policy and fostering cross-project collaboration and best practice exchange across Europe.

Throughout the two-day event, participants engaged in a variety of sessions, including interactive workshops, World Café excercise, project showcases, and updates from the European Commission. The discussions focused not only on the achievements of 2024, but also on future priorities, such as advancing AI integration, addressing cybersecurity, promoting citizen engagement, and fostering new investment pathways for innovative clean energy technologies.
