MAESHA aims to decarbonise the energy systems of geographical islands. It will develop the necessary flexibility, storage, and energy management solutions to facilitate a large penetration of renewable energies on island energy systems; develop a smart platform aggregating flexibility services; create synergies between electricity and other sectors; activate local communities; demonstrate the solutions on Mayotte; ensure the replicability of the solutions through monitoring with follower islands; and create a public available toolkit for wide replicability.
